The Game of Science Education An accessible education in research science and authoritative approach to effective science teaching, this text is the work of 16 contributors who each employ a single metaphor that will resonate with readers --that science education can education in research science and should be considered an exciting game. Scientific Research in Education by Richard J. Shavelson, Researchers, historians, education in research science and philosophers of science have debated the nature of scientific research in education for more than 100 years. Recent enthusiasm for "evidence-based" policy education in research science and practice in education -- now codified in the federal law that authorizes the bulk of elementary education in research science and secondary education programs -- has brought a new sense of urgency to understanding the ways in which the basic tenets of science are manifested in the study of teaching, learning, education in research science and schooling.
